Vietnam Holidays

Not afraid to show off its natural beauty, Vietnam welcomes travellers to explore its national parks, paddle through the turquoise waters of Halong Bay, climb rice-terraced mountains and sled down red and white sand dunes overlooking the sea. Those drawn to the water can dive into Bang Beach, relax on the white sands of Phu Quoc, or cruise past quaint villages and untouched forests on the Mekong Delta, while urban dwellers can immerse their senses in city life. No Vietnam holiday is complete without a wander through the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Da Nang, filled with friendly locals, vibrant flavours and a unique fusion of history and modern culture.

Highlights

  • Be mesmerized by spectacular temples in the Angkor Archaeological Park.  Angkor Thom was the final and most enduring capital of the Khmer Empire, established in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. See the Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants & Terrace of the Leper King then wander through the jungle entwined Ta Prohm.  Angkor Wat – the central temple and the main attraction is a Theravada Buddhist Temple complex and the largest religious complex in the world.
  • Experience local life in Tonle Sap the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.  Here we will either travel to Kompong Khleang, a unique village on stilts or we will visit Chong Kneas floating village.
  • Confront the reality of guerrilla warfare at the Cu Chu Tunnels.  The Cu Chi experience can be emotional for some visitors, but it offers a fascinating window into the hardship and traumas of the war.
  • Visit captivating Phnom Penh, the Capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia.  This charming city has a pleasant blend of oriental and colonial architecture, but reminders of a troubled past are also evident.
  • Visit a local community farming project just outside of Hoi An - Tra Que Village.  Learn traditional methods the farmers use to plant, fertilise and harvest crops.  Try your hand at raking the ground and sowing seeds.
  • Marvel at Hues Imperial Citadel nestled along the serene Perfume River with it’s kaleidoscope of royal history.  Afterwards wander through the Forbidden Purple City, the most sacred part of the Imperial City (Royal Palace) complex.
  • Enjoy a Cyclo tour of Hanoi’s old quarter, an intriguing neighbourhood home to a mix of Vietnamese architecture, green spaces, ancient ships and fresh-as-it-gets street food.
  • Cruise the magnificent Halong Bay.  Halong Bay shares a common border with China in the North and harbours some of the most stunning scenery in Vietnam.  Unique rock sculptures jut out dramatically from the clear Emeral waters of the Gulf of Tonkin and numerous grottos have created an enchanting, timeless world.  Imagine sitting on the deck at the end of the day, drink in hand looking out onto the horizon with sails of the junks an sampans watching the sunset over the bay.
