When to go

Malaysia has a tropical climate with high temperatures and high humidity throughout the year, monsoon season for the south-west is from May to September and the north-east from November to March.

On the west coast, the green months are May to October, while on the east coast, the green months are September to December. Enjoy the lush countryside and bountiful waterfalls when visiting after the green season.

Kek Lok Si Temple is a highlight when in Penang. 


Beautiful beaches

With sandy shores and warm waters, Malaysia’s beaches are perfect for a relaxed honeymoon or fun family holiday. Langkawi is one of the most prominent beach destinations with many beachfront resorts from which to choose. Batu Ferringhi is a popular beach in Penang with a long stretch of white sand and a great night market to keep you occupied when the sun goes down. Borneo’s Orangutans

Seeing the gentle orangutan is an experience you’ll remember forever. Visit Sabah’s Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre or Sarawak’s Semenggok Orangutan rehabilitation Centre where you may see orangutans feeding and eventually return voluntarily to the wild. You visit helps support conservation efforts and provides ongoing medical care and protection of these magnificent creatures. A cruise along the Kinabatangan River is another great way to spot wild orangutan.

Kuala Lumpur
